Beautiful! I love all the subtle colors, and he seems quite small, or your hand is quite large. :-)

Yeah, he is fairly small. About 8 1/2 inches long. He makes the funniest noises . . . ;D

i was wrong in our email...somewhere in my life someone told me a meyers was the same as a red-bellied...and i bet you 10$ hes got a loud shrill of a cry. lol.
i was trying to hand tame a baby senegal once (they look almost identical) and he was terrified of people...half our time together was me chasing him around the store, and him screaming at the top of his lungs. poor baby. he was fine to sit on the hand, but if you tried to get him to step onto the other hand, or pet him, he jumped off and ran for cover. lol. poor little guy. haha
but your new baby is adorable. congrats. keep us updated on pictures and memorable moments. conrats again hun!

Speaking of memorable moments . . . Yesterday I had both Zyda and Anica out (they get along surprisingly well – of course they’re constantly supervised if they are together) and I was letting them “explore.” Zyda would slink slowly across the floor examining everything then a rapid patter of claws would follow as Anica caught up. She followed him everywhere. They made their way into the dining room (no one is home at the time except me, the pets, and my older sister) where my sister was tidying up the breakfast mess. The birds slipped under the table, luckily I had just swept; knowing the birds would be out. My sister picked up one of the home-made biscuits still resting on the table (it’s a family recipe and entirely safe for the birds). I nodded and she started flicking crumbs at them. They loved it! Anica would always dart after the larger pieces while Zyda seemed content with the smaller ones. At one point, however, Anica picked up a large crumb in her beak and Zyda rushed over, snatched it from her, and walked away. She didn’t seem to mind too terribly, though, as she just continued “foraging.” They didn’t get much biscuit, but afterwards I let them share a few slices of a banana. I’ll see if I can get a video of them up later . . .

Here's some more (new and old) pictures. Which is the real animal? Fun in a trusted hand. Two soggy birds staying warm. Silhouettes of Anica and Sherbet. Everyone! There are two spaces in need of being filled in that last picture . . . Also, here's that video I promised. I don't like having my YouTube videos set on "public," so if you want to watch it, I suggest you hurry before I set it back to private . . . if you miss it, I'll put it on public again for you, however. (I'm not sure why that ad is there, it won't go away. )
