Nice to meet you omseth! Bella is so beautiful! What kind of parrot is she? Its so fun seeing them be all curious. I have a hydroponic garden (growing plants in water, without soil) and Desmond (my Green Cheek Conure) will stare at it for hours when I have the pump running and the light on. I put it next to his cage so he can see it better; When the plants grow big enough, he'll sometimes lean out and take a bite! (Of course I make sure to only plant things that are safe for him).

and thats all we can do for neglected animals...spoil them and give them a better life (if not the best) than what they had...
my tokay gecko that i got that was living in a small cardboard box...well she is now in a 20 long gallon tank with her own pond, hide-a-ways, plants, proper heating and lighting, and now i am getting ready to put her in a 75 gallon tank when i get it. even though its only 2.50$ for her crickets, there have been times i have sacrificed something i wanted to get, and instead got her crickets, and im happy to do it. no second thoughts. her previous owner spent all his money on drugs, and she rarley got fed. but i am so excited about her new tank. moms boyfriend is giving it to me. i offered him money, but he said it was mine, no charge...now i get to go out and buy more stuff for her...and then i am moving my lepoard gecko into the 20 long gallon tank. not that they need the room, but i like to spoil my babies. next weekend im going to bird fever with the girls to get nails done...and then spending half my pay check on food and toys that they get to pick out. spoiled rotten i tell ya!
but in the end, we do our best with what we're given, and we are rewarded more than we ever thought possible. ive never had a friend like an animal. they dont argue, and they love you unconditionally. no questions asked.
