Hello everyone First of all I gotta say I'm not Australian but I've been there and love it! ;D I miss Melbourne and Sydney anyway, I'm currently stuck in Kuwait with an Alexandrine Parakeet, used to breed Finches, had some Lovebirds and some other birds (most of which are rescues, including the Alexandrine) Well, that's about it!

As you can see geography isn't a big subject in Australian schools. Welcome to the forum. Having an international group really helps to exchange ideas as different birds are more readily available in different countries.

Highest currency, we're the last stop for the US military before they move into Iraq, the media made terrorists out of us which pisses me off.. etc It's difficult to know what is real and what isn't when it comes to the media. Don't you hate it when they make innocent people seem bad? There is an interesting documentary about the bias of the media, it's called Outfoxed. There is a well known "news" show in Australia which rushed into my church and put a report on the "evil cult and it's evil leader". The problem was though: 1. They were basing it on what a disgruntled family member of mine was saying and their 'facts' were ridiculous fabrications and lies about my grandfather (the "evil leader") and the church. 2. They ran onto private property with their cameras without permission to do their filming - then didn't show the footage and story until a year later - still calling it "news" 3. They merged the story with one about a disgusting person who is completely unrelated to the church and mixed up the interviews so that you couldn't tell which was refering to what. Well done Today Tonight, keep up the good work! Lol, sorry about the rant. I can relate to what you saying about the media though, and you can be sure that I don't just believe everything they say. Okay, back on topic now.

That's awful!
the media shows Middle Eastern people as two things, either terrorists or primitive people living in the desert with pet camels and swords... none of which are true
